Gallow was slowly pacing around a tree near his twoleg's house, making sure nobody else was close. He caught scent of another cat and fell flat to the ground, making sure not to be seen.
-
He slowly moved behind the tree, making sure to do his best to be out of sight at all costs.
-
"There be nothing but twigs and moss, thy wretched being!" He spoke in a very loud, booming manner, but kept hidden.
-
"Leave this sacred ground, or forever be embedded in the soil which makes it, monster!" He was preparing to leap out from behind the tree.
-
He crept out from behind the tree to see the cat, rolled over, on the ground. "I defeatedeth the monster! I must return home and celebrate my great victory with a flask of water!" He turned around and began heading back towards his owner's house.
-
Gallow spun around and gave Nightfur a menacing stare. "If you wish to have a little scrap, then so be it! Prepare, for we are about to duel!"
-
"If I win, you MUST join me in my next quest, whatever it may be!" He went into a readied stance.
-
"Attack when you're ready, my colleague!"
-
"Not bad, not bad. If you would, get off of me so I can begin our bet. I do have some things I would like to retrieve before we head out."
-
...walked over, gave both cats a pat on the head, then walked into a monster with a large bag of leather armor.
-
Moonrise came, and Gallow waited patiently at the tree where he and Nightfur met. This time, Gallow was wearing a chain pendant around his neck.
-
"My king, Sir Regenald Von Bartlesby made it for me in honor of my helping against the Orc armada of Ravenholm. So, shall we begin my day of forest life?" Gallow ran towards the gate leading out of his yard.
-
"I go by the name Sir Gallow of Flamerock Refuge. What dost thou go by?"
-
"I'm not much of a climber, but I'll see if I can scale this wall." He launched himself up, grabbed onto the top, and pulled himself up. "Not so bad, eh, rogue?"
-
"I don't see why that would be much of an issue." He gracefully leaped down off of the fence, rolled on the ground a bit after, and got back up. "Is this the greatest challenge the forest has to offer?"
-
"If you insist. Just wait up, my friend!" He followed Nightfur at a fairly brisk pace. "Now, what exactly is so bad about the forest?"
-
"Why...why are you showing me such grotesque imagery?"
-
"Wait, where are you going!?" Gallow ran after him. "Wait up!"
-
"Slow down!" Gallow kept running after Nightfur.
-
"Wherever you're leading me, it better be pleasant!"
